Military Mascots Heroes, the first animated movie to feature the Military Mascots, due to release in 2008.

Scottsdale, AZ -- August 21, 2006 -- Military Mascot Sales LLC. in association with WestLund Productions, Inc. are proud to announce the start of pre-production on the Mascot Heroes Movie. Building on the rich tradition, history and heritage of the United States military and their mascots, Mascot Heroes will become an instant classic not just with military families but for families everywhere. Central to the story is the beloved, Marine Corps mascot "Chesty the Bulldog". Chesty and his friends will take the audience on adventures with patriotism, pride of country and self is the underlined theme. Along with “Chesty the Bulldog” the other characters are the official mascots of the branches of the military including the Army Mule, Navy Goat, Air Force Falcon and Coast Guard Bear.

Several key creative players are already in place. Tony West will produce. With 13 years experience at Walt Disney Feature Animation and building on the success of the award winning WestLund Productions Inc. documentary "Dream On Silly Dreamer", Tony is excited to be involved with the project and looks forward to bringing the film to screen. With credits that include "Beauty and the Beast", "Aladdin", "The Lion King", "The Legend of Mulan" and "Lilo and Stitch" Tony West is uniquely qualified to realize the vision of Diann Wall-Wilsonm author and owner of the copyright properties, especially the well known Chesty, the USMC Bulldog.

Fresh from the set of his live action feature, "The Guardians" comes director Chris Hummel. Chris brings his rich history and vast film making experience, with a number of studios, to the crew. 20th Century Fox, Walt Disney Productions, Paramount Pictures, Warner

Bros. Pictures, DNA Productions Inc. and Morgan Creek Productions are but a few of the companies where Chris has had the opportunity to hone his craft as a writer, director and animator.

Dan Lund, of WestLund Productions, Inc. will act as co-director. In addition to his 13 years at Disney Feature Animation, Dan Lund has directed four independent documentaries, most recently the award wining "Dream On Silly Dreamer". Dan's production experience also includes video game animation, story boarding, development and live action set dressing.

Mascot Heros will be written by Chad F. Rogers with imput from Diann Wall-Wilson, and Ann Wilson. Donna Clark, research and developer will also assist Mr. Rogers. An award wining writer, Chad F. Rogers' produced work has been seen internationally on The Disney Channel, ABC Kids, and Cartoon Network. Rogers started his writing career at Walt Disney Feature Animation as an assistant on the story team of the feature film, “Mulan," and later as a coordinator for Disney's Creative Development Department. From there, Rogers moved up the ranks to manage the Story Team on the Disney's successful feature "Lilo & Stitch" and later to write for the successful spin-off television series "The Adventures of Lilo & Stitch." A two-time recipient of the MTV-sponsored NACB Awards for Comedy, Rogers has sold scripts to various production companies around the world and has just recently sold a pilot to a major network.

Leading the story team is former Marine and Disney trained story artist Woody Woodman. After six years with Disney, Woody left for the opportunity to create and develop a property called “Tugger, The Little Jeep Who Wanted To Fly,” a CGI animated film set in the air fields of post WW II America. Woody developed the characters, wrote, storyboarded and directed the film. Woody will be joined initially by storyboard artists Hugo Giraud and Sean Ramirez, both Disney veterans as well. Hugo he has worked in the animation industry for virtually every major traditional animation studio during the last 9 years. His most recent credits include Universal's "Curious George" and Cecropia's film/game "The Act". Sean spent seven years with Walt Disney Feature Animation and boasts credits that include “Lilo & Stitch”, “Tarzan” and “Mulan”. Since leaving Disney, Sean has continued his career in animation with work on “Curious George” as well as producing storyboards and development work for a number of studios.

Production management responsibilities will fall in the capable hands of Stephen Craig. Also a Disney veteran, Stephen got his start in the world of live action television production and post production. His 20 plus years experience in all aspects of the production industry makes Stephen the perfect choice to head up the creative team. It takes a special kind of person to manage a diverse, creative group. Stephen is the man for the job.

With a collective 75 years of film making experience, the multitalented crew of WestLund Productions, Inc. will usher in a new era in family film entertainment.
